The purpose of this paper is to list the type of food available by Norse settlers of medieval Greenland, exploring the food mentioned in the Greenland sagas, remains found in archeological digs, trace analysis of bones and what food was available to be eaten.
This is a full-sized replica of the Purser’s Chest found aboard the Mary Rose, Henry VIII’s favorite warship, sunk in battle in 1545. Since the wreck’s discovery and salvage, she has proved to be a treasure trove of Henrician artifacts.
