A Mid-16th Century Florentine Woman’s Outfit

The inspiration for this project was a painting of a young noble woman of Florence in what is now Italy painted in 1555. There are a total of 5 pieces to the outfit which includes partlet, underskirt, over skirt, bodice, and girdle. The gown and underskirt are made of silk, the bodice is lined in linen.
